Types of Massage Offered

Therapeutic Massage

This type of massage uses a variety of methods to enhance the body’s natural healing process. It’s a more general term to describe any type of massage that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, or work on a specific problem.

 Swedish Massage

This type of massage involves soft, long kneading strokes on the topmost layers of muscles combined with movement of the joints. This relieves muscle tension and can be both relaxing and energizing.

 Structural Massage

This massage focuses on the body’s myofascial system rather than on muscles. The fascia are a protective layer of connective tissue that surrounds the muscles. This massage is a non-invasive way to locate the source of pain based on imbalances within the structure of the body.

 Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic massage can be used to help relieve swelling and provide symptom relief for patients with other types of conditions, like autoimmune disorders. This type of massage is a lighter technique than the Swedish massage and may be a better option for those who are pain sensitive.

 Headache Relief

This massage focuses specifically on different pressure points and areas meant to relieve stress and pressure that cause severe headaches.

 Hot Stone Massage

This massage uses hot, smooth stones to warm and relax muscles. With the deeper relaxation, the massage therapists can apply deeper pressure to those areas without causing extra discomfort.
